Tell the CPUC and Attorney General Harris: Stop the Comcast Monopoly!

Comcast -- one of the nation's largest telecomm companies -- wants to merge with Time Warner cable. If successful, Comcast will gain unprecedented power over our country’s cable and internet market -- resulting in higher prices, fewer choices, worse customer service and control over the information we read, watch, and hear. We must urge the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and CA Attorney General Kamala Harris to block this disastrous merger! JOIN US!

Demand that Alabama’s anti-gay judges be held accountable!

Alabama just became the 37th marriage equality state. BUT in flagrant defiance of federal law, Chief Justice Moore ordered county judges to illegally deny marriage licenses to same-sex couples, and many complied. Join us to demand that ALL couples have the right to marry in Alabama!

Tell Gov. Brown: Ban fracking in California NOW!

The largest rally against fracking in California history is coming up on February 7th: The March for Real Climate Leadership. Whether or not you can join us in person, we need you to sign the petition demanding Governor Jerry Brown end the toxic and dangerous practice fracking in California now, so we can deliver your demands right to his doorstep in Oakland! Last month, New York's governor took an historic step by completely outlawing fracking – now it's California's turn. THIS is a game-changing moment for the climate movement in California. Join us!

Tell the U.S. Chamber of Commerce: Money is not speech. Corporations are not people!

On Wednesday the 21st, thousands of Courage Campaign members and activists are rallying in cities across the country to mark the anniversary of the death of our democracy since the disastrous "Citizens United" decision. And we're targeting one of the worst dark money culprits in our post-Citizens United democracy -- the U.S. Chamber of Commerce -- JOIN US!

Tell the CA Supreme Court: Give CA voters the opportunity to overturn Citizens United!

It's been five years since the disastrous Citizens United Supreme Court decision. A decision that has taken our democracy away from the people and handed it over to billionaires and corporations. Hundreds of Courage Campaign members and activists are demanding that Prop 49 be put back on the ballot in California in 2016 -- to allow California voters to decide whether the U.S. Congress and California Legislature should approve a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United. JOIN US!

Tell Kaiser CEO: Stop putting patients’ lives in danger!

Kaiser Permanente -- California’s largest health insurer -- CONTINUES to willfully put the lives of mental health patients at risk by not providing timely care. And Kaiser's workers have had enough! Tell the CPUC: Support a free and open internet!

The Federal Communications Commission is currently debating whether or not to ensure equal access to the internet and the decision could rest on California's shoulders. The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has a major vote coming up that will have a significant impact on the FCC’s ultimate decision on Net Neutrality for the nation. Californians need to come together to help secure the CPUC’s support for Net Neutrality.

Tell eBay, AOL, and Expedia to join the ALEC Exodus!

We did it! After a long, hard year of fighting, Google, Facebook and Yelp cut their ties with the extreme right-wing group ALEC (the American Legislative Exchange Council). But internet giants eBay, AOL, and Expedia continue to contribute to ALEC's extremist agenda! If major corporations like Google, Microsoft, Yelp, Facebook and Yahoo had the courage to drop ALEC, then eBay, AOL, and Expedia should have the guts to follow suit. Join us to keep up the pressure on these companies to say NO to ALEC!

Ask Gov. Brown: Stop Kaiser from putting patients’ lives in danger

Kaiser has admitted guilt and now faces a near record-breaking fine of $4 million for willfully putting the lives of thousands of mental health patients at risk by not providing timely care. But Kaiser still refuses to staff their mental health departments sufficiently enough to handle the overflow of cases. We must ask Gov. Brown to stand up for mental health patients in need of timely treatment, and ensure that Kaiser Permanente makes patient care its number one priority.

Demand PG&E & CPUC be held accountable for unethical relationship!

Everything we suspected about the relationship between PG&E and their regulator is true. A string of emails just released reveal inappropriate, unethical and dangerous back-channel communications between PG&E and the CPUC in the continuing legal fallout over the 2010 San Bruno gas explosion that killed 8 people and destroyed 38 homes. We must stand together to hold CPUC and PG&E accountable for their incestuous relationship and demand justice for the victims of San Bruno!

Tell Gov. Brown: NO drones without a warrant!

Did you know that right now in California police are legally allowed to spy on you and your family using drone surveillance without a warrant?! The State Legislature just approved bipartisan legislation to protect Californians from having their privacy invaded by drones. And Governor Brown needs to hear from YOU now before he decides whether to sign or veto this critical legislation.
